This project is a meticulous restoration of a neoclassical residence from the first quarter of the 20th century, where every detail speaks of the past. From the intricately carved wooden ceilings to the brass door handles and original flooring, the design approach is rooted in reverence for the building’s history. Every element that could be preserved was carefully restored, allowing the residence to retain its original grandeur while ensuring its longevity for generations to come.

Where original architectural features had been lost to time, the project takes a measured approach to restoration. Rather than introducing new elements that might feel out of place, reclaimed materials from the same historical period were carefully sourced—ensuring continuity in texture, color, and craftsmanship. This approach not only reinforces the home’s authenticity but also underscores a commitment to sustainable restoration practices.

In the kitchen, tradition meets modernity through the thoughtful use of materials. Solid walnut timber, rich in texture and depth, is juxtaposed with clean, minimal lines—allowing the space to feel both classic and contemporary. The result is a refined yet functional environment that seamlessly integrates with the historic identity of the home while catering to the demands of modern living.

The stately character of the building naturally lends itself to an atmosphere of refined contemporary living. This vision is most evident in the ensuite bathroom, where the timeless beauty of marble is paired with the warmth of soft carpeting to create a sanctuary of comfort and elegance. These carefully chosen materials enhance the existing architectural splendor, reinforcing a sense of quiet luxury within the home.

By embracing the neoclassical essence of the residence while incorporating contemporary luxuries, the project achieves a balance between historical preservation and modern sophistication. It is a home that does not merely exist in the past but rather evolves with time—an enduring testament to the beauty of architectural heritage reinterpreted for today’s living.
